Our latest First Car comes from Dennis Zager Of Fountain Valley, who fondly remembers his: This 1950 Pontiac Chieftain two-door sedan.
Here’s what he has to say about it:
“In 1958 I got my driver’s license. That same year my mother bought a brand new Edsel Citation. She gave me the Pontiac. I had to replace the straight-eight engine with a 1954 Pontiac engine giving me a total of 127 horsepower.
“I lowered the front end, removed some chrome and modified the grille. I enjoyed this car until October of 1960 when I joined the Navy. I wish I had put in storage for later!!”
Thanks for sharing your car and the memories with us, Dennis!
